How to sign a PDF electronically

• 1. Open the PDF in an e-sign tool. Upload it from your computer or phone.

In the US, yes for most documents. A federal law, the E-SIGN Act, says a signature or contract can’t be denied legal effect just because it is electronic (15 U.S.C. 7001).
