Retell's own pricing page publishes a range, not one rate: $0.07 to $0.31 a minute, and nothing there says which end a given deployment lands on. Komms is $0.08 a minute, phone call included, with the phone call, the AI and a standard voice included. Contact us: lower prices may apply at your volume.

Total cost, side by side

Start with what Retell actually prints, not our inference about how their charges stack. On their own pricing page, quoted directly: “$0.07-$0.31 / min for AI Voice Agents.” Their plan-comparison table repeats the same span on a single line — “Price $0.07-$0.31/minute” — across every tier. That is not a stacking calculation we built by adding a speech-to-text charge to an AI charge to a voice charge; it is the number Retell put on the page itself.

Run that range at the volume this site already uses for the comparison: 100,000 minutes of calls a month, the same figure /pricing uses for every voice-AI row. At $0.07 a minute that is $7,000. At $0.31 a minute — the same published range, the far end of it — that is $31,000. A $24,000 spread on one line item, and nothing on Retell's own pricing page says in advance which end of it a given deployment lands on. The plan-comparison table lists the span once, the same way, across every tier, without breaking out which combination of speech-to-text, model and voice pushes a call toward either edge.

Careful with the number this site has used before. /pricing compares against “About 13¢ a minute” and shows a saving of “$5K/mo · 38%” at 100,000 minutes. That $0.13 is a midpoint from earlier research — a reasonable stand-in for a blended market rate, and the honest basis of that one published comparison — but it is not a figure Retell prints anywhere on its own site, which is why no table on this site puts Retell’s name on it. Read this page as the fuller picture rather than a contradiction: Retell's own published number is the range above, not a single point estimate, and $0.13 sits inside that range without being the number Retell would point to if you asked.

Komms is one number: $0.08 a minute, with the model and a standard voice included — the same figure published on /pricing and /komms. At 100,000 minutes that is $8,000, flat, before you have picked a model or a voice, because both are already inside the rate, and so are the phone calls. Inbound and outbound calls are inside that figure too, billed in 6-second increments — the only other charge is $15 a month per phone number.

Side by side: at the bottom of Retell's own range, $0.07 a minute is a cent below Komms's $0.08 — $1,000 a month less at 100,000 minutes, if a deployment stays at that floor. Above about $0.08 a minute, Retell costs more, and its own pricing page says the rate can reach $0.31. Komms's $0.08 does not change with the model or the voice. Neither pricing page says in advance where a given deployment lands in Retell's range.

Other things to know

Retell and Komms are both self-serve. Komms starts with 50,000 free tokens. Retell offers a wider range of models and voices, and lets you bring a fine-tuned model, a licensed voice or a speech-to-text vendor you already contract with. Komms’s rate includes its model and a standard voice, and you can bring your own voice.

Where a deployment lands in Retell’s $0.07 to $0.31 range depends on its call mix: how much is simple qualifying and how much is heavier reasoning, and which voice and model it uses.

Questions

How much does Retell AI cost per minute?

Retell publishes a range on its own pricing page: "$0.07-$0.31 / min for AI Voice Agents," repeated in its plan-comparison table as "Price $0.07-$0.31/minute." The page does not say in advance which end of that range a given deployment lands on. Komms is $0.08/min with the phone call, the AI and a standard voice included, plus $15 a month per number.

What does Retell cost with everything included?

At 100,000 minutes of calls a month, Retell's own published range runs from $7,000 at $0.07/min to $31,000 at $0.31/min — a $24,000 spread on one line item, with no published breakdown of what pushes a given call toward either end. Komms is $0.08/min with the phone call, the AI and a standard voice included, plus $15 a month per number.

At the bottom of its own range, Retell's $0.07/min is a cent below Komms's $0.08/min. Retell's published range runs up to $0.31/min. Where a deployment lands in that range depends on its call mix; neither pricing page says in advance.

What does an AI voice agent cost per minute?

It depends on the vendor and what is bundled into the rate. Retell publishes $0.07-$0.31/min, with speech-to-text, the model and the voice able to be charged as separate pieces. Komms is a single $0.08/min rate with calling, the model and a standard voice already included.

Does Komms include the model and voice?

How fast does Komms answer?

On our live demo line, Komms starts its reply in a typical (median) 162 milliseconds after the caller stops talking; 90% of turns started within 211 ms, across 1,048 turns on Oct 6–7, 2026, from the Komms call logs. Generating the voice and the phone network add to what the caller hears. Every call report shows the timing for each turn, and you can test it yourself at +1 (618) 228-1183, a live SSDI intake line where calls are recorded.
