What Kurrent has

  • Every SIP line and phone number is a source with its own routing.
  • Limits for each source: calls at once, calls per second and SIP invites per minute.
  • Calls are screened before they ring: your blacklist, then any validation APIs you choose.
  • A pre-ping asks the buyer if it wants the call before you transfer it.
  • Webhooks for call events as they happen, plus a full API.
  • A call log and raw SIP logs, so you can trace any call end to end.
  • Recordings go to your own storage bucket.

The price is one monthly fee: half the software part of the call-tracking bill you pay now. It is built for teams spending $1,795 a month or more. The minutes run on your own Telnyx account, at cost, from $0.0032/min inbound local (which requires a Telnyx minimum spend) and $1/number/mo for a number. We add nothing to them.

Total cost, side by side

Take a desk with 100,000 local minutes and 100 numbers a month. On CallGrid Static at its starting rates, that is $199/mo, plus 100,000 × $0.04/min = $4,000, plus 100 × $2/number/mo = $200. That is about $4,399 a month (our math, from CallGrid’s own rates).

On Kurrent, the same minutes and numbers run on your own Telnyx account at cost: 100,000 × $0.0032/min = $320, plus 100 × $1/number/mo = $100. That is $420 for the phone company’s minutes. Take out what the same minutes and numbers cost on Telnyx, $420, and $3,979 of the CallGrid bill is software. Kurrent’s fee is half of that, $1,990. With the minutes, the month comes to about $2,410 on Kurrent: $1,989 less (our math).

CallGrid says volume discounts lower its usage rates as you grow, so a large desk may pay less than these starting rates.
