What Kurrent has

  • Every SIP line and phone number is a source with its own routing.
  • Limits for each source: calls at once, calls per second and SIP invites per minute.
  • Calls are screened before they ring: your blacklist, then any validation APIs you choose.
  • A pre-ping asks the buyer if it wants the call before you transfer it.
  • Webhooks for call events as they happen, plus a full API.
  • A call log and raw SIP logs, so you can trace any call end to end.
  • Recordings go to your own storage bucket.

The price is one monthly fee: 50% off the call-tracking bill you pay now. The minimum is $1,795 a month. The minutes run on your own Telnyx account, at cost, from $0.0032/min inbound local and $1/number/mo for a number. We add nothing to them.

Total cost, side by side

Take a desk with 100,000 local minutes and 100 local numbers a month. Usage on WhatConverts is 100,000 × $0.045/min = $4,500, plus 100 × $2.50/number/mo = $250. Take off the $30 credit and add the $30/mo plan: about $4,750 a month (our math, from WhatConverts’ own rates).

On Kurrent, the same minutes and numbers run on your own Telnyx account at cost: 100,000 × $0.0032/min = $320, plus 100 × $1/number/mo = $100. That is $420 for the phone company’s minutes. Take out what the same minutes and numbers cost on Telnyx, $420, and $4,330 of the WhatConverts bill is software. Kurrent’s fee is half of that, $2,165. With the minutes, the month comes to about $2,585 on Kurrent: $2,165 less (our math). We split your real bill into software and phone company costs with you, line by line, in the audit.

Agency plans lower the minute and number rates. They also start at $500 a month, so check which side of that line you are on.
